Associate Research Fellow, Full Time, Fixed Term Position for 3 years, ‘Out with Cancer’: LGBTI experiences of cancer survivorship and care
Western Sydney University is looking to appoint an Associate Research Fellow, to work with an experienced team of researchers addressing LGBTI experiences of cancer survivorship and care.
The ‘Out with Cancer’ project is funded through an Australian Research Council Linkage Project Grant in partnership with the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia (PCFA), New South Wales Cancer Council (NSWCC), CanTeen, National LGBTI Health Alliance, ACON and Breast Cancer Network Australia (BCNA).
The project will utilise a range of creative and innovative methodologies, including visual methods, interviews and surveys, and an intersectional theoretical framework, to examine the perspectives of LGBTI cancer survivors, their carers, and professional stakeholders. We will develop a range of translational outcomes, including patient resources and recommendations for culturally competent cancer care and policy.
The successful candidate will hold a post-graduate research qualification in psychology, social science, public health or a related discipline, or equivalent substantive research experience; and expertise in one or more of the following research areas: gender, sexuality, LGBTI, marginalised populations, or cancer.

Remuneration Package: Academic Level A $93,019 to $112,381 per annum (comprising $78,602 to $94,963 p.a., 17 % Superannuation and Leave Loading)
