10/08/2021 - PoCoG Scientific Meeting
Our preference for this year's meeting was undoubtedly face-to-face and the decision to go virtual wasn't an easy one, but with ongoing uncertainty and travel restrictions likely to be in place for some time yet, we thought it safest.

So, we pulled the Brain's Trust together and have reimagined our Scientific Meeting, based on what we've learned over the last 18 months, and in recognition of the ongoing success of our lunchtime webinar series the 2021 PoCoG Scientific Meeting will run as a series of six lunchtime (11:30-1:30) sessions in the first two weeks of December :
Wed 1 December, Thur 2 December and Fri 3 December
Wed 8 December, Thur 9 December and  Fri 10 December

These sessions will be themed by research stream and facilitated by a PoCoG SAC member and will comprise a variety of formats, including panel discussions, rapid fire presentations and longer plenary presentations.

To maximise attendance and engagement and to provide a wide audience for our presenters PoCoG members and colleagues will be able to attend as many of the sessions they are interested in at no charge.

We are  now accepting abstracts from PoCoG members who would like to share their work with the wider  psycho-oncology community. The organising committee will select abstracts for rapid fire (5 minute) or 10 minute presentations.

We will build a program based on current research priorities and abstracts received and would welcome submissions.

Abstracts due Friday 17 September.
