Introduction to Social Networking Analysis Masterclass Monday, 30th August 2010 Dr Penny Hawe (University of Calgary, ) Associate Professor Cynthia Webster (Macquarie University), Professor Jeffrey Braithwaite (University of NSW), Dr Frances Cunningham (University of NSW) This masterclass provides a unique opportunity to hear from international leaders in social network analysis. Social Network Analysis (SNA) is the study of social structure. It is used extensively in infectious disease epidemiology and increasingly in other aspects of health research such as organisational change, collaboration and program evaluation. This introductory-level workshop provides an overview of the field and the opportunity to get some hands-on experience with one of the most popular software packages for social network analysis. The workshop is designed for researchers who already have some familiarity with quantitative data analysis.
