Common Statistical Pitfalls and How to Avoid Them
Convened by Dr Melanie Bell, PoCoG Biostatistican
This workshop discusses the most common statistical errors that occur in health research. These are often things that statisticians are very aware of, but researchers are not, making them easy pickings for statistical criticism. The consequences of these errors can be serious, including 1) making false or misleading conclusions 2) designing your study incorrectly or inefficiently 3) getting your paper, thesis or grant rejected, or at the very least 4) making it difficult for your reader to understand the results.
Learn how to avoid these mistakes and tighten up your research!
