REST Trial
The REST trial is a PoCoG-administered randomised trial of an intervention targeting self-efficacy to self-manage cancer-related fatigue in people with a primary brain tumour.
REST is being conducted by researchers at the University of Sydney to examine the efficacy of a novel online program in helping people with a primary brain tumour to better manage their fatigue.
We are seeking people who:
Are aged 18 years or older
Have been diagnosed with a malignant brain tumour in the past
Experience fatigue
Have or are willing to create an email account and have access to the internet
What participation involves:
A brief phone call to confirm the study is suitable for the participant
A short online survey asking for some information about the participant
Doing an online program with six sessions across 12 weeks
Completion of a brief online survey 3 times during the study
Participants may be asked to take part in an interview about their experiences of being in this study.
Participants can complete the program on their own or with support from a family caregiver or another person. Their choice will be recorded when they begin the program.
If you are a patient and would like to participate in this trial, please see the participant flyer here, and register your interest on the link provided.
